Sandbox pauses cross-chain transfers after security exploit
The Sandbox, a virtual world/gaming platform built on crypto, discovered an exploit (a way someone found to abuse a flaw in their system) affecting the bridges connecting it to the Base and BNB chains. A bridge is basically a tool that lets you move tokens from one blockchain to another. To stop further damage, they've paused that bridging function.
If you hold Sandbox-related tokens or were mid-transfer on one of these bridges, your funds could be stuck or at risk until this is resolved, so it's worth checking official channels before doing anything with those assets.
If you have funds involved with Sandbox's Base or BNB chain bridge, avoid any transactions until the team confirms it's safe, and only trust updates from Sandbox's verified official accounts, since exploits often attract scammers pretending to help.
